CANDLEFISH is a bar band that likes being a bar band. No pretentions. No inflated egos. Just pure fun straight ahead rock and roll. They are at their best when the dance floor is filled, but they also perform an acoustic set of Bob Dylan, Neil Young, John Prine, and Grateful Dead classics. |
CANDLEFISH evolved from a duo formed by Big Boss Wally and the late Tom "Duke" Aton. In the spring of 2006 they added Casey Jones on bass and Ginz on drums. With Duke's passing in the summer of 2007, Casey moved to guitar and long-time friend Uncle Joe filled in the bottom.

CANDLEFISH performs a wide range of infectiously danceable material from the last four decades, including the classic hits of the Beatles, Stones, Tom Petty, CSN, and CCR, plus a host of classic blues, country crossovers, and southern rock.

CANDLEFISH has recently partnered with Southside Fran, Take 5's full-time bass player, to form an acoustic trio for smaller venues. Big Boss Wally and Casey Jones put down the electric guitars to play acoustic classics with Southside Fran. The rich three-part harmonies and "wooden" guitars add a new avenue of expression for CANDLEFISH. |
